SOAR stands for Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration, and that is a good summary of what will take place. As an incoming freshman, you are required to complete SOAR.

You are also required to pay a $100 university deposit when you register for SOAR. The deposit serves as a "down payment" for your tuition and fees, and reserves your spot at Utah State. Your SOAR fee is taken from this deposit, and the remaining balance will be in your account when you pay tuition and/or fees. Learn More...

While most students come on campus for SOAR, we also provide an online option for students who live more than 400 miles away.
